Wales boasts some of the planet’s best filming locations, including miles of unspoilt coastline, historic castles, urban cityscapes, forestry and stunning mountain ranges, all within short travel time of each other. Our variety of landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for productions of any scale or genre. In fact many of our locations have doubled for other places or countries in the world.

Our practical Wales screen support service has an extensive database of locations and crew, and can offer expert advice, local knowledge and contacts to help your production run as smoothly as possible.

Access to our dedicated Production Fund, which is available alongside generous UK tax incentives, helps make Wales the ideal base for your next production.

The funding is aimed at the scripted, non-scripted, animation and games development production genres. We prioritise the development of a content production sector that provides equal and diverse opportunities for a long term, skilled employment base. The funding is targeted at companies that are implementing the latest practices in sustainable production and have wellbeing of cast, crew and employees at the forefront – whether they are freelancers, contractors or permanent staff. We also prioritise content that shows the best of Wales in culture, language and geography, and welcome enquiries for both scripted and non-scripted, factual programming.

Many popular Film and TV productions filmed in Wales also accessed our funding support, including House of the Dragon (HBO), Sex Education (Netflix), His Dark Materials (HBO/BBC) and Mr Burton (Icon Film Distribution).

Our state- of- the-art facilities in Cardiff, Anglesey and Bridgend, include Wolf Studios, Great Point Studios, Dragon Studios and Aria Studios, all with a track record of housing major productions and offering sound stages, backlots and post-production suites.
